Heritage War Eagles take 2nd place at 2009 Arkansas State Wrestling Tournament

Regardless of the fact that this is Heritage High Schools inagural year, little has stopped the wrestling team from succeeding.  Wrestling has only been in Rogers for two years, but was the first year for this school, these boys, and this coach.  Coach Randy Steen took ont he task of making Heritage known in the wrestling world here in Arkansas and he has done a remarkable job.  Among Heritage's successes are 7A West Conference Champions and Runner Up at the 2009 Arkansas State Wrestling Tournament in which 10 wrestlers placed, 2 Heritage wrestlers took 1st in the state, 3 wrestlers placed second and 5 others placed third through sixth.  This program is backed by devoted parents and a school administration that supports its athletes come rain or shine.  The tropy cases at Heritage are quite bare because we just came into existance this year, but make no mistake they will be needing to add on another wrestling section over the coming years.  Heritage is on the heels of Bentonville and next year may surpass them.
