Players announced for N.C./S.C. All-Star Basketball Classic

Seven area basketball players have been selected to represent North Carlina at the North Carolina/South Carolina All-Star Basketball Classic, which will be held at Socastee High School in Myrtrle Beach, S.C., on March 21. Middle Creek teammates Garrius Adams and Tom Tankelewicz, Panther Creek's Earnest Ross and Athens Drive's Josh Davis are on the 10-player roster for the boys' game. Lee County's Reggie Peace will serve as the head coach. For the girls' game, Southeast Raleigh guard Lakevia Boykin and Wakefield teammates guard Sarah Wollett and forward Kesley Evans are on the 10-player roster. The women's game will begin at 6:30 and the men's game will follow. Tickets are $10. On Friday, March 20, there will be a slam dunk contest and 3-point contest starting at 7:30 at Myrtle Beach High School. The price for Friday evening is $5.
