I am a proud parent of a student/athlete at Daniel Webster High School in Tulsa, OK. The Webster Lady Warriors basketball team's head coach, James Asberry, a Tulsa County Deputy by day and basketball coach by night, is currently in the process of making amazing changes in Webster High School Athletics. Coach Asberry, a Webster High School alumni, has graciously accepted, with vigor and determination, the task of building a house with minimal resources. And as we all know, building a house in today's market may not be a bright idea; but Asberry has put on his hard hat and has gone to work.
Coming off a 3-17 season last year, repeating a losing season was not an option. Asberry, with a team of knowledgeable and confident assistant coaches, is taking a group of five hardworking, tenacious freshmen, as his varisty starting five, and began laying his foundation.
Mark my word, the Lady Warriors will build their house. With an amazing group of girls, a confident coaching staff, strong parental support, and a solid blueprint, not only will our house get built, it's going to be the most beautiful house on the block!!!
The Lady Warriors were recently featured in the Tulsa World newspaper where they are on the verge of making history at Webster HS when they reach their 11th win of the season. Their record to date is 9-5. We hope to reach our 11th win at the end of this week. Check us out!!!
