Twenty high school athletes have been selected for the inaugural Vince Dooley Award, and several Atlantao-area athletes are on the list. The award, presented by the Georgia High School Association and Athletes for a Better World, will be given to one male and one female senior who exemplify distinguished individual character, outstanding teamwork and citizenship in their communities. The two recipients will be awarded a four-year, $1,000 scholarship by Dooley and $1,000 to donate to charity.
