The Best Time of the Year

This time of the year we crowd into gyms across Oklahoma as teams battle for basketball greatness while the wrestling teams have entered dual season and swimmers are preparing for state competition. Sounds like we could use another sport. Like you're not divided enough. I can't remember another time when wrestling season has garnered more attention than this year. The Broken Arrow Tigers are ranked number one and head coach Shawn Jones has the team focused on adding more hardware to the trophy case. Our very own Austin Chadwick caught up with former Sooner great Adrian Peterson to talk about high school football in Texas, his days at Oklahoma and the transition from college to the pros. Love rankings? Well Andrew Gilman gives a look into the world of rankings and explains how basketball is leading the way in a coach driven rankings system. Verdigris High School basketball head coach Kelly Clarke is grilled with tough questions about their chances of winning a state title, the team next year and of course his nephew.
