The basketball swooshes through the hoop as senior Tiffany Evans scores yet again for the Lady Pirates. This layup is no ordinary shot, though. With these points, Evans has broken a personal record. She has scored 1000 points. It happened in the third quarter of a home game against rival Jordan. Although the fans and coaches were holding their breath waiting for the big moment, Evans herself was clueless as to what was about to happen. "My parents were there, and they knew, but nobody told me. I did not know I was that close," Evans said.
