I resolve: It's January, time for some resolutions. We asked a few players what they were resolving this sports season Mitch Bertrem, Edmond North junior lacrosse player "I'd like to resolve to average two goals and three assists per game. I want to establish myself as a scorer as well as passing threat.'' Eric Randall, Edmond North basketball player "I'd have to say to win state. I really want to work hard enough to get a scholarship for next season. I really hope it happens, but I got to get a lot stronger and I know I can't be missing lay-ups.'' Ray Woods, Chickasha basketball player "I'm also in the drumline, so I'm really wanting to do better drumming. I want to go to UCO and be a percussion instructor. And I know I resolve to play harder in basketball, too.'' Tramond Henderson, Carl Albert basketball player "I resolve to get better. Of course, I want to win a state championship, too. I think we have the team. People say we don't have the size, but I know we have the talent to get it done.'' Swimming Nikki Colton, Edmond North swimmer "I am going to keep trying to continue to be more committed to swimming. I am participated in a lot of other sports as well before this season. Now, I am just concentrating on being the best swimmer I can be. I want to keep working hard. My goal is to win the 100 breaststroke and 200 individual medley at state." Shayla Gleave, Bethany basketball player "My resolution is just to leave it all out on the floor. I don't want to have any regrets. I want to give it all I have every game. I just want to work hard and for my team to build team chemistry. We are a young team and we want to continue to get better." Kaitlin Kiewer, Edmond Memorial swimmer "I want to place in the top three in my events at state, the 100 breastroke, and the 200 and 500 freestyle. I want to have a great time on the team and make a lot of great memories." Kayla Thomas, Harrah girls basketball player "I want to help the team win state. I want to score at least 15 points a game, play up to my potential every game and play great defense." Crista Riggs, Edmond Santa Fe swimmer "I just want to work a lot harder. I plan to work out more. I want to be in the top four in the 100 butterfly at state in February. I want to place high in the 200 freestyle, and make sectionals in the 100 butterfly because those are really hard to make."
