Athlete of the Week: Dollarway's Jesse Grandy

Dollarway lost to Shiloh Christian 42-18 but Cardinals quarterback/defensive back Jesse Grandy's star shone bright. Grandy amassed more than 170 yards of offense and two touchdowns, punted for a 47 average and totaled 7 tackles. For his effort, Grandy earns Central Arkansas VYPE Player of the Week honors. Grandy's 56-yard touchdown run gave the Cardinals a 12-7 lead early in the second quarter. He finished with 139 rushing yards. He also passed for a 23-yard touchdown and boomed a 60-yard punt. Several colleges offered Grandy scholarships including Arkansas, Mississippi State, Tulsa, Louisiana Tech, Ole Miss and Tulsa.
