Broughton senior Taylor Harris has signed on to swim for Florida State next year. Taylor, who's list of accomplishments include being the current NC High School State Champion in the 100 meter breast, 2-time short course Senior National Qualifier (Fall 2007 and Fall 2008), Junior National Qualifier (Summer 2008) and two time Broughton High School MVP. Out of the water, Taylor has racked up some impressive academic stats including being named twice to the High School Swimming Scholastic All America list (2007 and 2008), National Honor Society and AP Scholar to name a few. Beyond serving as the Broughton team captian last year, Taylor also serves as the team captain of the Marlins of Raleigh (MOR) swim club. According to a MOR press release, Taylor chose FSU, where he will swim for Coach Neil Harper, over NC State and the University of South Carolina. 'It was a tough choice for Taylor as all 3 schools have good swimming and the academic courses of study he is interested in. He's excited to be a Seminole and looks forward to helping FSU reach their goal of winning ACC titles while he is in Tallahassee.' said MOR coach Paul Silver
