Allen Moves Up VYPE National Rankings

Dallas, TX

Monday, December 8, 2008

A new Number 1 sits at the top of the VYPE National Top 25 Football Rankings. St. Thomas Aquinas from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida takes over the top spot after they took care of South Fork (Stuart, Florida), 56-14 and the losses that former Nos. 1 and 2 suffered. All season, Trinity has occupied the top of the heap, that is until they met up with current No. 5, Allen, and lost 34-21. Armwood (Seffner, Florida) also felt the sting of defeat to Plant (Tampa, Florida), 17-14. Biggest story of the weekend however was the loss that halted the nation's longest winning streak of 89 games, held by South Panola of Batesville, Mississippi. They lost to Meridian in overtime, 26-20. VYPE National Top 25 Rankings 1. St. Thomas Aquinas 13-0 Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. 2. Poly 13-0 Long Beach, Calif. 3. Oscar Smith 14-0 Chesapeake, Va. 4.
