Lovejoy Wins State Volleyball Title

Lovejoy made its first trip to the state volleyball tournament count, winning the Class 3A state title in just the school's second season of play. Lovejoy dominated Brownwood, 25-13, 25-20, 25-20 for its 40th victory of 2008. State finals match Most Valuable Player Natalie Puckett had 15 kills for Lovejoy. Lauren McDaniel added 10 kills and Andie Malloy had six blocks.
