CASL visitRaleigh.com National Soccer Showcase Kicks Off Today

Triangle soccer fans can get their fill this weekend when the CASL visitRaleigh.com National Soccer Series, presented by Chelsea Football Club, gets underway at 9:00 am tomorrow. The bulk of the matches will be held at the WRAL soccer field in Raleigh with other matches scattered around the area.

The teams competing in this weekends’ showcase come from all over the country and abroad. With 225 teams competing in three age groups (U16 40 teams, U17 100 teams and U19 75) teams, there is plenty of soccer to watch across the Triangle.

In addition, 72 teams from the Red Bull National Soccer League will play the first of four weekend-long tournaments during the CASL Shootout to determine their national champion.

Beyond fans, over 100 college coaches are scheduled to attend to get another look at some of the areas top talent.
