Back-to-Back State Titles for St. Mark's

St. Mark's overcame the elements and Tulsa Holland Hall to win its second straight SPC Division I state football title in Tulsa. Battling 25-mph winds and temperatures in the 40s, St. Mark's quarterback Kirk Hayes connected with Ty Montgomery on a 20-yard scoring pass. St. Mark's took advantage of a Holland Hall turnover on its ensuing possession to convert Dean Itani's 42-yard field goal that was aided by a strong tailwind. Hayes completed 25 of 45 pass attempts for 166 yards and rushed for 62 yards. Montgomery finished with seven receptions for 88 yards receiving. Terdema Ussery had five catches for 25 yards.
