LaBore will stay at WHS

Woodbury High School football coach Beau LaBore ended any speculation that he might be crossing town to become the first coach at East Ridge High School by stating he would be returning to the Royals sidelines next fall. "I am not going to apply at East Ridge," LaBore said, adding, "No one has contacted me, either." LaBore is 16-23 overall in his four years at the WHS helm, but just completed a 9-2 season at the end of October and is already getting things ready for next year. "I spent 18 hours on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday rearranging the equipment room," he said. While the coach said he felt rather strange at having to dispel the East Ridge rumors, he said he felt it necessary to go public in light of a number of inquiries from the public on the topic. "I like my job at Woodbury," he said. "I want the Woodbury kids to know that I'll be here." The Royals will open next season as the Raptors inaugural opponent when Woodbury travels to East Ridge next September.
