Katie Slay, a junior middle blocker for Wakefield High School's volleyball team, has verbally committed to join the Penn State Nittany Lions in 2010. Slay, one of the most nationally sought-after 2010 recruits, played on the 2008 USA Women's Junior National Team last summer where they took gold in the NORCECA Championships in Saltillo, Mexico. She also plays on the Triangle Volleyball Club's 18 Black team. Penn State, defending 2007 NCAA Champions and #1 ranked team in the country, is home to two other Triangle Volleyball student-athletes: Katie Kabbes and Megan Hodge. Hodge, is a standout member of the Nittany Lions, having earned Big 10 Freshman of the Year, Big 10 Player of the Year, and NCAA National Championship MVP honors.
