Against West Johnston, Greg Jackson of Knightdale wasted no time getting the Knights on the board for the 2nd time in less than 3 minutes, returning an interception 61 yards for the score putting his team up 12-0 very early in the ball game. Later in the half Jackson punched one in from the 1 yard line to give Knightdale a surprising 20-6 lead. Jackson again hit pay dirt in the 4th quarter scampering 28 yard to get into the end zone. To top off his fantastic night Jackson ran in the 2-point conversion to put Knightdale up 9 points and make the game out of reach for West Johnston at 38-27. This game put Knightdale in a good position to make the State Playoffs. With Clayton(2-7) and East Wake(2-6) still left on the schedule this win was huge for the Knights who could now make it to 6-5 overall and 5-2 in the conference. We always say that our "player of the week" has to make Big Time plays in Big Time situations and Jackson did just that on Monday night with Knightdales playoffs hopes on the line.
