Tuesday, January 15, 2008

The Tulsa 66ers and Community Care present the 2008 High School Series featuring six of the area's finest schools. Annouced today at a press conference in Tulsa, the teams set to play for this year's events are McLain, Booker T. Washington, Victory Christian, Tahlequah Sequoyah, Pawnee, and Hominy. They will play over a four game stretch during the next month. "We are really looking forward to getting in a big arena and getting around that state tournament type atmosphere," said Pawnee coach David Paige. "It will be a great preparation for the coming months." "This is a great opportunity for a couple of 2A schools to play in a big time atmosphere," Hominy coach Billy Carr added. "It's an honor to be a part of this." The schedules for games are as follows: January 19, 2008 - McLain (home) vs Booker T. Washington - Girls begin at 1pm, Boys to follow at 3pm. Following those games is the 66ers game with a concert with National Christian recording artist, Chris Rice. February 1, 2008 - Victory Christian (home) vs Tahlequah Sequoyah - Girls begin at 3pm, Boys to follow at 4:45pm. Following those games is the 66ers game. February 2, 2008 - Pawnee (home) vs Hominy - Girls begin at 2pm, Boys to follow at 4pm. Following those games is the 66ers game. February 8, 2008 - Booker T. Washington (home) vs McLain - Girls begin at 2pm, Boys to follow at 4pm. Following those games is the 66ers game. All day tickets are only $10 for all three games.
