Week Seven Area Scoreboard

The first week of district provided some exciting games Friday night, but the biggest upset of the week may have came when Wichita East took out undefeated Wichita Heights on Thursday night by way of another dynamic performance from Bryce Brown. Goddard got its first win against Dodge City in overtime. Hutchinson throttled McPherson in what was expected to be a very close game. Winfield upset Newton who had been playing very well up until last night. Kapaun scratched out a win against Arkansas City. In 4A, Andover Central took care of Mulvane, and Andale did the same against Buhler thanks to a great game from senior running back Corey Harp. Garden Plain took out Conway Springs in a battle between the top two teams in the Central Plains League. Next week should provide more great district match ups.
