In every game there's always several story lines that go into the final outcome. For the Trojans this season has been full of question marks. The quarterback situation was one that had many people asking the same question, who would fill the shoes of Mark GInther. That question was answered by coach Trimble early on. No one would fill his shoes, they would play in their own shoes and learn the system. Become another great QB in the Jenks program. Beau Marsaln has looked to be that guy of late. Injuries also play into a game. WIth key guys missing on the defensive side of the ball and a couple of starters on offense, the Trojans know the players in those positions must step up and make plays. The game Friday night against Broken Arrow has several implications. One; district. After the lose to Muskogee, Broken Arrow really faces a must win game against Jenks. If there's one team in the last ten year's that has had a little success against the Trojans, it's Broken Arrow. If Jenks was to lose to Broken Arrow and beat Muskogee you could have a three way tie for district. Then it could go to points. That's why Muskogee had to go for two against Broken Arrow after the last second touchdown. Points are important people. For Jenks a win over Broken Arrow would mean that this team is getting back to being that dominating team the fans are used to. With so many new names some fans have already wrote off the season. But ask any player and they'll tell you different. The game will be a sellout. Both sides of the field will be charged with all the energy of a playoff game. The Jenks Superfans are going to "Blackout Broken Arrow" and every Jenks fan is suppose to wear black. It's homecoming for the Trojans. Broken Arrow scheduled Muskogee for homecoming, could we see another homecoming upset? If you don't have tickets to the game you can catch it on Kool 106.1 FM. Don King and Matt McCoy will have the call. Kickoff is 7:30 pm.
