Stepfan Taylor scored twice as Mansfield topped Summit 21-14 Friday night at MISD Stadium. The loss was Summit’s first to a fellow Mansfield school district opponent. The Jags were previously 10-0 against MISD schools. Taylor opened the scoring in the second quarter, but Summit answered late in the first half to knot the game at 7-7. Summit took a lead in the third quarter on a 2-yard Richard Sanguinetti run. Mansfield answered with a 37-yard pass to Taylor from Daniel Green. The decisive play came when a Sanguinetti pass was intercepted and returned 16 yards to the end zone in the fourth by Mansfield’s Jordan Fitch.
