In district play every game counts. The Chargers can not afford to put up 42 points in a game and not come away with a victory. That's exactly what happened last week against Sand Springs. This week the Chargers are at home and must beat a Claremore Zebra team that is playing in Class 6A for the first time. Last week the Zebra's held Jenks in the first half, but the Trojans were able to get it going and eventually pulled away. The Claremore offensive line is strong. Memorial's Jordan Ryder (6-1, 275, SO) and Garrett Stafford (6-4, 260, SO) must create havoc in the backfield and force the Zebra's into passing downs. The Charger offense led by Tyler Simms (6-2, 195, JR) has been efficient, but needs to be accurate against this Zebra defense. There's no doubt the Chargers have the fire power to put up points. With fullback Royal Mowoe (6-0, 245, JR) and newly assigned tailback Dante Wimberly (5-5, 160, SR), the Chargers will look to get the running game going early. The Zebra's are capable of scoring, but Memorial is at home and should come away with a win. Keep an eye on the special teams tonight. That could be the difference in the ball game.

Well Claremore takes care of business, 21-6. The lone touchdown for the Chargers came on an interception return for a touchdown.
This should be a competitive game. Claremore's defense has four guys with at least 40 tackles. The key will be what does the Zebra offense do. They must score in the opening quarter for them to have success. Special teams will be the deciding factor though. The Zebras don't have quite the distance on field goals so it puts them in difficult situations down in the redzone.
