Millbrook honored the jerseys of former high school football standout Craig Keith during halftime of Friday night's home victory against Broughton. Keith graduated from Millbrook in 1989, and played in the NFL. Keith played at Lenoir-Rhyne and in the NFL for Pittsburgh and Jacksonville. He is a pharmaceutical salesman and lives in Durham. Keith wore 88 at Millbrook. Millbrook had three future NFL players in the Class of '89: David Merritt, Craig Keith and Bucky Brooks. Keith's old coach Earl Smith, now at Wake Forest Rolesville was on hand to witness the honoring of his former player as well. Game Note: Millbrook defeated Broughton that night 35-33 with a 2nd half comeback.
