Duncanville's Dowell commits to Arizona

Another Duncanville hoops star has committed to a big-time program. Highly ranked Duncanville senior point guard Reger Dowell has committed to play basketball for Arizona. Dowell (6-1, 170) was considering a long list of schools including, Alabama, Cincinnati, Fresno State, LSU and Providence. Dowell previously committed to Alabama before changing his mind. Dowell is the fourth Duncanville player to commit to a Division I university, joining senior Shawn Williams (Texas) and juniors Jamison Sterns (Baylor) and Perry Jones (Baylor). -- Tim Polzer
