VYPE athletes on Pre-Season All SEC Volleyball Team

2008 Preseason All-SEC Team Announced
The Southeastern Conference revealed its first volleyball coaches preseason All-SEC team, Thursday, to launch the upcoming season of SEC volleyball.
Two of the athletes named are from VYPE networks in Texas. Nikki Fowler of Tennessee is from Plano West High School in Collin County, while Kyna Washington of LSU is from Westfield High School in Houston.
A team of nine athletes were selected for the honors. LSU led all schools with three selections, followed by Florida with two. The coaches preseason All-SEC team consists of a minimum of 7 players. Each SEC Head Volleyball Coach voted for seven players and no ties were broken.
In a class-by-class breakdown, seven seniors were named, followed by one junior and one sophomore. By division, the East had five recognized, and the West had four.
First serve for the 2008 season is set for Friday, August 29. SEC Conference action begins Sept. 19.
