Kyle Lonquist Prince Of Peace Track & Soccer Kyle Lonquist knows exactly why performing community service is important to him. "I enjoy knowing that I can help others. I have been blessed with great parents, a loving home and lots of material things. I know that everyone isn't as fortunate as I have been," Kyle said. "At the end of the day I know the most important thing is to know that you have done the best you can in any circumstance you have been placed in. This also means that you have to put the needs of others before the needs of self." The senior at Prince of Peace High School has taken part in adopting a family for Christmas and has seen the faces of adults and children when gifts and goods have been delivered. He also has collected clothes, food and bikes for the less fortunate. Kyle is also very active in the Boys Scouts. On his way to earning the level of Eagle Scout, he worked with scouts and other volunteers to add landscaping in lower income subdivision of Farmers Branch and neighborhood parks. "I have grown up with a dad who is an Eagle Scout and has been involved in scouting since he graduated from college. I have seen many boys' lives changed because of his involvement. Now that I have achieved my Eagle Scout, I look forward to returning to the program during my senior and helping younger scouts grow and become better leaders."
