Verdigris High School senior Rotnei Clarke announced Wednesday night that he plans on attending the University of Arkansas to play basketball. His long awaited decision came after months of speculation that he might follow Pawnee's Keiton Page to Oklahoma State University.

On his recruiting visit to Arkansas Clarke was hosted by Mike Sanchez and Nate Rackshaw who took Clarke fishing. "It was fun to get to know those guys and know that they would be your teammates," said Clarke.

Now the focus turns to Verdigris and a run at a state championship. "Hopefully this year we win a state championship. We've had a chance the last three years, but we have some guys back and hopefully we'll do it," said Clarke.
