Highland Park Earns Top-15 Ranking

Despite losing 19 starters and 50 lettermen from last season's state finalist team, the Highland Park Scots are still expected to be among the state's best Class 4A teams. The Scots, who narrowly lost the 2007 Class 4A state championship game to Lake Travis, were ranked 11th in the Texas High School Coaches Association's preseason state poll. Lake Travis was picked first. Everman (4), Stephenville (7) and Aledo (14) were the only Dallas-Ft. Worth-area teams ranked.
