State Farm Scholar Athlete Nominations

Wanted: All Texas scholar athletes who excel in academic pursuits, UIL varsity sports and school/community initiatives. State Farm will begin taking nominations for its 2008-09 Texas Scholar Athletes scholarships Friday. The largest scholarship program in Texas has awarded $162,000 in aid during the last six years. Qualifications for State Farm Texas Scholar Athletes include: - Students who will graduate with Class of 2009 - Students currently active in at least one UIL high school varsity sport. - Students actively involved in their community. - Students maintaining a 3.0 or higher grade point average or the equivalent.
