Eastern Oklahoma Orthopedic Center: From diagnosis to rehabilitation, EOOC Sets the Pace

Friday, August 1, 2008

So many decisions run through the minds of people when deciding where to get the best health care. The trust and confidence in a doctor or clinic is the key to making any decision. People want to be taken care of. People want to feel comfortable. And people want to feel important. EOOC has been providing top of the line health care for over three decades. The doctors at EOOC are some of the best in the country. These doctors work extremely hard at providing the kind of care that some of today's best athletes expect. Dr. Brad L. Boone is an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in sports medicine and joint arthroscopy and reconstruction for knees, elbows, and shoulders. Dr. Boone has been with EOOC for more than 17 years and is one of the team physicians for the University of Tulsa football team. "quote from Michelle." One of the benefits in choosing EOOC that these doctors are responsible for getting athletes of all sports back onto the field of play as quickly and as safe as possible. "The doctors that work with our athletes in all sports at TU are extremely qualified," Said David Polanski, University of Tulsa head athletic trainer. "They are very dedicated and very well-respected. When they speak, everyone listens." Along with the University of Tulsa, EOOC also provides that care for Northeastern State University and Oral Roberts University. "We have ultimate trust in the doctors at EOOC," head basketball coach Scott Sutton says. "The way they take care of our players is second to none." At the high school level, so many schools are cared for by EOOC doctors and athletic trainers. Odds are, if you or your children are participating in high school athletics, there is an EOOC trainer or physician that is providing the care. The state-of-the-art facilities at the Natalie Building at 65th and Yale provide these physicians and trainers with the best possible equipment and environment to get their patients healthy. A great advantage for EOOC is the physical therapy department that is located on the third floor of the Natalie Building, the same floor as the majority of EOOC doctors. "The biggest advantage for our patients is that their doctor, who has diagnosed them or performed surgery, is just down the hall from physical therapy," said Sharron Kimberlin, who is a certified athletic trainer. "The accessibility is a little abnormal, but extremely beneficial. Our patients truly receive the extra attention." "The experience of our doctors is truly a great advantage," said another certified athletic trainer John Joslin. "In our physical therapy center, each patient receives the individual care they deserve and we treat them all as individuals. Each patient recovers differently and each patient heals differently." It doesn't matter if a person is a five-year patient, or if they walk in for the first time, each patient will be taken care of from start to finish and beyond. The track record of athletes, coaches, and athletic administrators speaks for itself. If the quality of care is good enough for the type of people who put their bodies through rigorous stress, then the same kind of care that EOOC gives will definitely be good enough for everyone.
