Boyertown's Shayne Houck Named VYPE Player of the Week

Shayne Houck was named the VYPE High School Sports Magazine Player of the week after leading Boyertown to their 29th Berks Legion Crown with a 13-4 win over Shillington Monday night. Houck contributed 7 strong innings on the mound and also added some key hitting at the plate. A 3 for 5 night with 3 RBIs, 2 doubles, and scoring 3 runs, Houck was our unanimous choice for Player of the Week. Boyertown's championship was their first since 2005, but it was also their 4th title in 6 years. Boyertown and Shillington both move into regional play later this month.
