Boys
Bishop McGuinness Fighting Irish (25-4)
Daniel Orton is a 6-foot-10 junior who can play the forward position as good as anyone. He can also get up and block shots.

Douglas Trojans (20-7)
The senior combination of Ricky Hill (6-foot-6) and Desor Horton (6-foot-2) gives the Trojans a lethal backcourt.

Vinita Hornets (13-13)
Trey Lippe (6-foot-3, senior) could average over 20 points a game in the offense. Also look for senior Lance Williams (5-foot-11).

Star Spencer Bobcats (22-6)
Jeremy Henry (6-foot-2, senior) needs to get the offense going, but Josh Davis (6-foot-5, junior) needs to make the baskets.

Wagoner Bulldogs (16-9)
Durrell Parker (6-foot, senior) has tremendous athletes around him including Jermaine Sherman and Everett Shaver. Very tough team.

Victory Christian Conquerors (21-7)
High flying Robert Crawford (6-foot-5, senior) and shooter T.J. Petit (6-foot-3, senior) will light up a scoreboard and run you up and down the floor.

Southeast Spartans (18-9)
Ben Smith (6-foot-4, senior) averaged nearly 20 points per game last year and also look for junior Brendon Curry (6-foot-5) to make an impact.

Cascia Hall Commandos (15-12)
The big man for the Commandos is 6-foot-7 senior Peter Swiatek who averaged 10 points per game. Also look for John Moellers and Will Bryant.

Fort Gibson Tigers (22-4)
The Tigers will depend on Ryan Keese (6-foot-2, senior) to put up 20 or more points per game and junior B.J. Pennington for solid minutes.

Broken Bow Savages (10-15)
The Savages return all five starters from last year and leading the way is Javar Lewis a 5-foot-11 senior who loves to shoot.

Girls
Star Spencer Lady Bobcats (20-6)
Run and gun is how the Lady Bobcats will win games. Look for Tajai Rodgers (5-foot-8, senior) and Victoria Felix (5-foot-10, senior) to run the offense.

Southeast Lady Spartans (16-10)
Returning four starters will help, but they need solid play from Elizabeth Lay and Jasmine Shaw to win games.

Fort Gibson Lady Tigers (25-3)
Maybe the best player in 4A, Kendra Dean (5-foot-10, senior) is a double-double threat every time she steps on the court.

Newcastle Lady Racers (19-8)
Always a tough team, this year they feature juniors Tayler Smith, Lauren Gober and Lindsay Claunch.

Elgin Lady Owls (21-5)
Maggie Oliver is a senior point guard who averaged 14 points per game last year. The Lady Owls return four starters from a year ago.

Sallisaw Black Diamonds (17-7)
All five starters are back for head coach Casey Eubanks. Watch for big games from Sarah Snider and freshman Catie Goff.

Cache Lady Bulldogs (24-4)
Junior guard Taylor Thompson (5-foot-5) was the leading scorer last year and she will probably repeat that this year.

Weatherford Lady Eagles (27-0)
Loaded is the best word to describe the Lady Eagles. Look for Courtney Harper (6-foot, senior) to make people take notice when she’s on the floor.

Bishop McGuinness Fighting Irish (16-10)
Three returning starters might be enough for the Lady Irish to make a run. Watch for big games from forward Mary Beth Renz.

Idabel Lady Warriors (15-10)
The most underrated team in the class, the Lady Warriors feature the tandem of Karla Dunn and Jaccia Ahston in the backcourt.

4 Players to Watch

Shelby Wright, Berryhill, (5-foot-6, senior, guard)
Wright averaged over 10 points per game last year and hustles up and down the floor. With a great group around her she could average more than that this year.

Lachelle Hotfelt, Oologah, (5-foot-10, senior, forward)
This player can do it all. Score, rebound and play tough defense. Look for Hotfelt to make everyone’s list of best players when the season is over.

T.J. Hutton, Okmulgee, (6-foot-2, senior, guard)
When T.J. Hutton plays, people watch. This kid is electric with his shooting and high flying rebounds.

Randall Caldwell, Locust Grove, (6-foot-6, senior, center/forward)
Maybe the most underrated “big man” in the class. Caldwell can hurt you from outside or drive the lane and throw it down with authority.
