Our Sport - The Field Hockey Player

Senior Torie Bender began her field hockey career at Holland Hall as a sophomore. After playing on varsity for two seasons, Torie was named captain her senior year. As a midfielder, Torie plays both offense and defense and is in charge of distributing the ball across the field. She is the team’s leading scorer and has the second most assists. She was recently named All Conference at the Southern Preparatory Conference tournament in which the team placed 2nd out of 18 teams. Although field hockey is not a sport Tulsans see everyday, the Dutch team, especially Torie Bender, are athletes to watch.
