Smith Center, Kan. - Friday night was an odd evening of sorts in Smith Center, Kansas. The Redmen rolled up 72 points in the first quarter as they went on to beat Plainville, 83-0.

The 72 points is a national record fo most points in the first quarter, which eclipsed the previous record of 66 points back in 1925 by Prescott, Arizona.

Smith Center has been on a roll for the last six seasons, winning a state championship in each of those seasons. They have yet to allow a point this year while outscoring their opponents 640-0.

We will continue to follow Smith Center during their amazing season.
