Hoover, Ala. - Buccaneers head football coach, Rush Propst, has resigned from his position, but will continue to coach through the remainder of the season. Once the season is completed he will assume an administrative role at the school through August 31, 2008.

Propst has been the coach at Hoover for 9 years and has brought tremendous success to the state of Alabama. Propst, who has led his team to five state championships in the past seven seasons, has been at the center of some negative publicity.

There have been some ups and downs in the tenure of Propst's career at Hoover. We will follow this story as it develops and Propst looks elsewhere.
