Flemings Recognized by Gatorade

Saginaw hurdler Donique Flemings has been named the Gatorade Texas Girls Track and Field Athlete of the Year. Helping her cause was Flemings' gold medals in both the 100 and 300 hurdles at the 4A UIL State Meet in May. Her 40.96 in the 300-meter event was the fastest ever in the state of Texas at any level of high school competition and was the fastest high school time in the nation this year. Flemings just completed her junior year at Saginaw.
