This season, the Moore Youth Football Association was made up of 63 tackle football teams with more than 1,300 kids ranging in age from 5 to 12 years old.

Each age group played all the other teams in their age group, making up for the regular season. Each team’s regular season record then seeded them for the end of the year “Moore Super Bowl.”

The Super Bowl determined first, second and third-place teams.

In the past we have always played each team in our division twice and the teams were then ranked by their overall record, but having a playoff at the end of the season made it much more exciting with all the deciding games taking place on Championship Saturday.

The park was full of parents and grandparents, aunts and uncles, all wanting to see who would come out on top as the league champion. The Super Bowl was a great ending to a very exciting season. Some age groups had clear-cut winners that had won all season long while other age groups provided unexpected upsets.

Congratulations to the top finishers in each age group:

6 year old division: Wildcats, Pirates and Red Eagles
7 year old division: Titans, Cowboys and Wranglers
8 year old division: Falcons, Lions and Tigers
9 year old division: Wildcats, Predators and Lions
10 year old division: Westmoore Jaguars, Raiders and Broncos
11 year old division: Westmoore Jaguars, Chiefs and Bears
12 year old division: Sooners, Jaguars and Raiders

Sign-ups begin in July and practice starts in August. We’re already looking forward to next season and all the excitement that it is sure to bring.
