10. Holy Name (10-6-1) - Won just 2 of 5 games at the start of the season. Snuck into the top 10 by going 8-3-1 over the last 12. Big wins over Oley, Muhlenberg, and Wyomissing (1st time in program's history). Qualified for district playoffs. Key players include Claudio Silva (7 goals) up top, Mark Yost (led the Jays with 11 goals playing in the mid-field and at forward), Ben Lane and Matt Spezialetti on defense and Adam Miller (5 shut outs) in goal . 9. Antietam (13-5) - A 1 - 4 start didn't keep the Mounts down for long as they then ran off 9 straight wins and 12 of 13. Some big wins against Kutztown, Brandywine Heights, Oley, and Wyomissing, propelled them into the county and district playoffs. Corey Hertzog was the league's top scorer with a whopping 28 goals. Jon Craciunescu was the team's assists leader while the Gilbert brothers, Ryan and Drew, were solid on defense and in goal respectively. 8. Governor Mifflin (11-5-2) - A pretty consistent team throughout the season, the Mustangs managed big wins over Brandywine, Muhlenberg, and Wyomissing and a tie against eventual county champion Conrad Weiser. District qualifier. Lucas Blair assisted on 9 goals and scored 3. Gibrilla Conde led the team with 6 goals, while Mike Flick and Houston Bortz each tallied 4 times. 7. Kutztown (11-7-1) - Berks County Playoffs and District 3 qualifier. Started the season with 4 straight wins including a 5 - 4 thriller against Holy Name. Set the tone as a playoff contender with 2 wins against Wyomissing, splitting games with Antietam, and a win and a tie against Holy Name. Led by Tim Conrad's 10 goals and timely assists from Andrew Snyder. Cole Woodland was solid between the pipes posting 5 shutouts. 6. Twin Valley (12-5-1) - Erik Weber and Josh Labik led the most potent offense in the Berks league racking up a total of 61 goals. A big win at Exeter shot them ahead of Muhlenberg and into 2nd place in DII. Won 6 straight and 9 of 11 to capture a spot in the county and district playoffs. Cody Schaffer provided stability in goal while blanking their opponent 4 times. 5. Oley Valley (13 -5) - The league's stingiest defense allowed just 8 goals all season. Nick Parenti posted 11 shutouts, 7 in a row, helping the Lynx win big games against Conrad Weiser and Wyomissing. Aaron Roland led the way for Oley Valley with 10 goals, and Chris Bowman, Ben Shade, Wade Kunkle and Ryan Reich were also key pieces of a balanced Oley attack. County and district playoff qualifier. 4. Exeter (12-3-1) - Blasted out of the gate with 5 straight wins and 8 wins in 9 games. Chalked up big victories against Conrad Weiser and division foe Wilson for a solid 2nd place finish in DI. County and district qualifier. Led by Ross Ramalley in goal, the Eagles gave up just 11 goals all season and posted 8 shutouts. The Eagles balanced attack was led by Eric Pepper, and Mike Dailey both with 8 goals, followed by Mike Andrei with 4 and Steve Perdoch with 3. 3. Brandywine Heights (15-5) - Rattled off 9 straight wins at the end of the season for Division III title. Posted 2 crucial wins against Oley and tallied other big wins against Wyomissing, Holy Name, Kutztown, and Twin Valley. Qualified for county and district playoffs. Keeper Chad Gechter posted 10 shutouts with help from defensive leader Andrew Warner. Ben Pritchard's 10 goals and Ryan Kelly's 9 goals led the offense while Derek Rader tallied 5 times. 2. Wilson (13-4-2) - Finished season winning 7 of the last 8 games. Key wins came against Conrad Weiser and Exeter (Division I Playoff). 10 shutouts by keeper Scott Krotee and the Wilson defense helped lead the Bulldogs to the division I crown. One of the leagues most balanced attacks with 43 goals. Dan Honig led the team with 9 goals and 6 assists and Josh Shutter managed 6 goals and 5 assists. County finalist and district qualifier. 1. Conrad Weiser (12-6-1) - County Champion and district qualifier. Has one of the most lethal scoring tandems in the league in Derek Long (2nd leading scorer in the county with 15 goals) and Tyler Witmer (13 assists). Won 7 of 1st 9 games including big wins over Twin Valley and Muhlenberg. Also beat Brandywine and Twin Valley (a 2nd time) on the way to D II's top spot. Defeated the best in county in route to Berks Crown with wins over Oley, Exeter, and Wilson. Editor's note - Also receiving votes were Wyomissing and Muhlenberg.
