KY Girl's All-Star Basketball Team Wins

The KY and Indiana girl's All-Star basketball teams competed this past weekend in both Indianapolis and the Louisville Gardens. Kentucky swept Indiana for the first time since 1991 with wins Friday and Sunday. KY won 76-59 in Indianapolis on Friday, and again 101-62 at the Gardens on Sunday. The annual two-game series started in 1976. Tia Gibbs, Monique Reid and Janae Howard of KY were large contributors in the win on Sunday. Gibbs, Kentucky Miss Basketball, a Butler grad and Vanderbilt signee finished the game with 12 points. Reid, from Fern Creek, and Howard, from Owensboro, both University of Louisville signees finished with 16 and 15 points.
