Six Wolves on all-state tournament team

Fresh off Plano West's first state baseball title, the University Interscholastic League named six Wolves to its Class 5A all-tournament team. Tournament Most Valuable Player Drew Johnson was joined by senior second baseman Kale Kiser, junior third baseman Donald Plant, senior shortstop Harrison Holmes, senior outfielder Jason Coats and senior outfielder Ryan Hughes. State finalist Southlake Carroll placed three players on the team: pitcher Ross Stripling, catcher Andrew LaCombe and outfielder Ronnie Mitchell. Laredo United's Luis Pollorena was selected as a utility player and Houston Bellair'es Trace Knoblauch was picked at first base.
