Exactly one year ago, HSSTM launched this publication to Central Indiana. And in that time, we've covered everything from basketball, baseball, softball and track to soccer, swimming, racing and rowing. Exactly one year ago in this space, if you'll recall, we shared our vision: capturing and defining the lasting impressions of high school sports - those moments frozen in time that are uniquely shared by us as individuals, and as a community. Since April 2007, HSSTM has featured 51 different faces on the cover of this publication. We've ran 779 photos (our spring intern, Bob Herman, who researched these numbers, tells me the margin of error is 0.5 percent). And 1,743 unique names have appeared in the pages of High School Sports - The Magazine in the past year (margin of error: 3 percent - thanks, Bob). We bring you these numbers not to brag or boast, but to tell you we're not done. Not by a long shot. We want more names in this magazine. We want more sports featured. We want more faces gracing the cover. We want more photos popping off the pages. You can help make this happen in two different ways. First, submit your ideas and feedback to letters.centralindiana@hsstm.com. Your comments are invaluable to us and provide one of the best ways for us to continue to learn and grow. Second, get out there and support your school, your friends, your student-athletes, your neighbors' kids or your siblings. Do this because the time is short, but the memories will indeed, last forever. As we celebrate our first anniversary, we must pass along a heartfelt thank you to you, our dear readers, for your support. While we're thanking people like it's the Academy Awards, HSSTM would also like to commend our sponsors. Without our growing network of advertising, this quality publication would cease to exist. Please be sure to support those who have supported us. In our first 12 issues, HSSTM brought you a different kind of high school sports coverage - a positive, entertaining, engaging, full-color magazine that sought to highlight the schools and student-athletes here in Central Indiana. We promise to continue to provide this, and much more, in the next 12 issues - and beyond.
