FW Arlington Heights Statebound

Fort Worth Arlington Heights outfielder Mitchell Lichtle recovered from a potentially devastating error and gave the Yellowjackets a date in the Class 4A state baseball tournament.

Lichtle's two-run double brought home the tying and winning runs in Heights' 4-3 win over Wichita Falls Rider in a two-game sweep of their Region I final.

Heights (29-8) will play Corpus Christi Moody (36-3) – the No. 1 team in the ESPN RISE high school baseball national rankings – in a Class 4A state semifinal at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Dell Diamond in Round Rock.
