Eastview wins Class AA girls title

Eastview won its first-ever girls track and field state championship after the Lightning won the Class AA meet on June 7 at Hamline University's Klas Field. With 74 points, Eastview took the title by 14 points over Mounds View. Apple Valley took third with 50 points, with Roseville in fourth at 44 points and Hopkins in fifth with 40. Lightning senior Alexis Brown closed out her high school career with a State title in the 400-meter dash with a time of 56.17 seconds.
