Baran Qualifies For Olympic Trials

Caitlin Baran, who just finished her senior year at Southlake Carroll High School, qualified for the 2008 US Olympic Trials in the 200-meter breaststroke. Baran swam to a 2:35.09 at the Toyota Grand Prix Swim Meet in Santa Clara in mid May. The qualifying time was 2:35.99. Baran is a four-time All-American and three-time individual state qualifier at the high school level. She will move on to Princeton in the fall. The USA Swimming Olympic Trials will take place in Omaha, Nebraska, from June 29 through July 6.
