Sanderson wide receiver Matt James is racking up offers to play collegiate football.
The senior picked up his sixth and seventh offers from Maryland and Navy. He's fielding offers from Air Force, East Carolina, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, and West Virginia, and his Rivals.com profile shows he has interest from UNC, NC State, Ohio State and Virginia.
Last season, James ran for 512 yards on 64 attempts, scoring eight touchdowns. Sanderson has a run-oriented defense, allowing James to catch only 18 passes, but he averaged 25 yards per catch.
Former Sanderson football coach Jason Tindal, who will be the head coach at Wilmington Ashley this coming season, reported that he expects Sanderson to pass more this season, which will help James shine.
James is 6'6", weighs 196 pounds. He records a 3.7 grade point average, according to Rivals.com which rates him a three-star prospect.
