Area prep runners advance to Texas championships

HOUSTON - Willis sophomore Cali Roper went neck and neck with Kigwood Park's Zahri Jackson at the Region III-4A girls cross country meet Saturday and though she finished second to Jackson, she punched a ticket to the state meet next Saturday.
