No. 1 Denton Guyer Falls to Denton Ryan

Denton Guyer's season-long reign atop the VYPE-TXA 21 Top 21 Class 4A Rankings is over. Guyer fell victim to cross-town rival Denton Ryan, 50-29, Thursday.

Fifth-ranked Ryan used three TD passes from Scotty Young in the third quarter to separate themselves from Guyer and earn a share of the District 5-4A title.

Lake Dallas can claim a three-way tie for the top with a win over The Colony tonight.

In other top-10 4A action, Aledo won the 6-4A title with a 48-13 win over previously undefeated Birdville.
