Wake Forest-Rolesville remains undefeated in the Triangle after leaving Millbrook in the dust with a 48-0 win. Will Braddy started off the Cougars’ string of scores with a 12-yard return on an interception. Darren Kirby returned a punt 60 yards, which gave Trea Jones the opportunity to take the ball into the end zone. Trea Jones also scored with a 18-yard and 4-yard run. James Harris kept the Cougars on the path to victory with an 18-yard touchdown run, and Dan Tomchik connected with Fabian Seabrooks for a 35-yard touchdown pass. Marquel Dunn sealed the win with a 30-yard touchdown run.

Southeast Raleigh fought hard in the game against Harnett Central, but they couldn’t quite gain the game-winning edge and lost, 36-22. Much of the game was back and forth scoring by both teams. Sean McLean scored first for Southeast Raleigh with a 37-yard touchdown with only 4:46 remaining in the first quarter. Harnett Centrals’ Jarrod Spears scored a 4-yard touchdown on the ensuing possession. Spears later scored a 2-yard touchdown in the second quarter.
 
McLean ran 21 yards to the end zone, but his score was followed up by a 79-yard touchdown from Spears. Gabe Henderson responded with an 83-yard touchdown pass to Quentin Todd for the Bulldogs, and Nick Jones later boosted the score with a 19-yard field goal. Harnett Central scored two more touchdowns with a 5-yard touchdown by Brian Baker and a 57-yard pass from Taylor to Baker.

Middle Creek shut out Fuquay-Varina with a 15-13 win on Friday. Cory Hunter scored first for Fuquay-Varina with a 10-yard touchdown. Middle Creek’s Jon Moore scored on a 15-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter from Garrett Leatham. Leatham scored his own 4-yard touchdown in the third quarter, and Middle Creek led 15-7 in the fourth quarter with less than 2 minutes remaining. Nate Budde connected with Eric Powell for an 83-yard touchdown for Fuquay-Varina, but Middle Creek took the victory and claimed the Tri-9 conference championship title.

South Granville bagged the Carolina 9 conference title after defeating Cedar Ridge, 16-14. Ian Bosley scored a 15-yard touchdown in the first quarter for South Granville to give the team an early lead. Cedar Ridge’s Jake Geary scored a 2-yard touchdown in the second quarter, but South Granville responded by posting a safety to boost them to a 9-7 lead. Josh Thorpe pushed South Granville further ahead with a 25-yard touchdown. Neither team scored in the third quarter, but Brent Burrette brought in a 3-yard touchdown for Cedar Ridge in the fourth.

Lee County and Panther Creek played a tense game of relentless scoring by both teams, but Lee County won, 21-20. Panther Creek’s Kameron Bryant connected with Kel Jackson for a 59-yard pass, and Carson Wilson responded with a 6-yard score for Lee County. Walter Cruikshank proved to be a scoring machine for Panther Creek, starting his successful night with a 38-yard field goal at the start of the second quarter.

Lee County’s Cedric Gray scored a 9-yard touchdown run, but Cruikshank was at it again with a 19-yard field goal just before halftime. Panther Creek’s last score came in the fourth quarter thanks to a 22-yard touchdown pass from Bryant to Graham Love. Lee County started wracking up the points with a 35-yard touchdown pass from Wilson to Dakota Hart. Daniel Dillon later caught a 2-point conversion pass from Wilson to boost the score to 21-20 at 1:18 left in the game. Panther Creek made a valiant effort to try for another score. With 17 seconds left, Bryant connected with Jackson for a 19-yard pass, placing Panther Creek on Lee County’s 5-yard line. Cruikshank attempted a 22-yard field goal with 2 seconds left, but the effort was blocked by Isaiah Williams.

East Wake pushed the game against Garner into overtime after scoring 21 points in the fourth quarter, but Garner still won the game, 30-27. East Wake’s Kasunn Williams started the game with a 74-yard touchdown pass from Chris Pernell. Garner played strong for the whole game, kicking off their scoring session with a 25-yard field goal by Connor Torruella. Juwan Moye caught a 19-yard pass from Cody Woodall in the second quarter, and Torruella put Garner up 13-6 with a 20-yard field goal before the half. Isaiah Moore scored in the third quarter with a 33-yard interception and return for a touchdown. Woodall hit another touchdown pass in the fourth quarter by throwing 2 yards to Bryan Watkins.

Not to be left in the dust, East Wake came back with 21 points in the fourth quarter thanks to Perrell’s three touchdown passes. Tyler Horton caught two touchdown passes from Perrell and Travian Banks caught one. Garner’s Torruella saved the day in overtime with a 26-yard field goal, his third field goal that night.

Ravenscroft’s Quinn Billerman had a successful night in the game against Harrells Academy. Billerman connected with Hartland Jones for a 74-yard score and Shane Bird for a 75-yard touchdown in the first quarter. Billerman was 277 yards passing and 11 of 14 throwing for the night.
