The Days are Getting Longer

The famous groundhog from Punxsutawney Pennsylvania, Punxsutawney Phil, woke up on the morning of February 2nd only to see his shadow which means six more weeks of winter. But as winter slowly draws to a close the competition in the pool is fierce and we have featured four of the top swimmers in Eastern Oklahoma. Rachel Bailey, Whitley Taylor, Caitlin Cavert and Kristi Augustine are dropping times and heating up the water. If the water isn't your forte then check out the next story on a group of local boxers who not only have the skills to win fights, but have the belts to prove it. Charlie Williams, Ryan Johnson and Lonnie Wilson are training in a small gym in north Tulsa and have high hopes of making it to the big stage of the Golden Gloves. Follow these young hopefuls on their journey to boxing stardom. Broken Arrow is famous for the Pride marching band, but there's another national champion to add to the trophy case. The varsity cheer squad made national headlines with the performance of a lifetime. Barnsdall head basketball coach Joe Gilbert has seen just about everything a coach could see in 25 years.
