VYPE Fort Worth-Denton Unveils Preseason Rankings

In conjunction with the release of our football and volleyball preview issue, VYPE Fort Worth-Denton has unveiled its preseason rankings for both sports. The rankings are on VYPE.com/ftworthdenton - simply click the "Rankings" tab.
Not surprisingly, Euless Trinity heads up the football rankings. The defending state champs are picked by many to win a third state title in four years. Perennial power Southlake Carroll sits just behind in second, followed by Everman and Arlington Bowie. Mansfield Timberview rounds out the top five.
Speaking of perennial powers, Arlington High School tops the volleyball rankings. The Lady Colts barely missed out on a berth in the state tournament a year ago and return a wealth of talent and experience. Relative newcomer Denton Guyer earned the second spot, followed by Aledo, Arlington Martin and Flower Mound Marcus.
The rankings will be adjusted on a weekly basis once the seasons are underway, so check back every week to see the shakeups.
