Ebony Shaw will replace Andrea Robinson on the Lady Wildcats bench.
The Dunbar girls basketball team has its new coach. Former Trimble Tech head coach Ebony Shaw will move over to replace Andrea Robinson, who left Dunbar for Cedar Hill. Shaw has led the Lady Bulldogs the past two seasons, including a 15-15 campaign in 2008. She was a standout locally at TCU and at Southwest High School before that.
Shaw will take over one of the premier programs in the state. Dunbar won state titles in 2005 and 2007 under Robinson. Robinson’s teams went 176-29 in her six seasons there.
The Lady Wildcats will lose All-American Brooklyn Pope, who has moved on to Rutgers, but return a stockpile of young talent for Shaw to work with.
The girls basketball season begins November 10.
